This month’s edition of EMC Insurance’s Circuit magazine features some of my photography. The cover designed by Holly Illg features my photo of the Shattered Silence sculpture. The table of contents page features my photo of one of Keith Haring’s sculptures in the Pappajohn Sculpture Park in Des Moines, Iowa.

Last week we took the kids on a road trip to Arkansas. We stayed in a cabin near the Arkansas Grand Canyon and the Ozark National Forest. We hiked, played in streams and waterfalls and did some cave tours.
I found all these birds, bunnies and bugs in my backyard.

These are all of my test shots from the portraits I take in the studio at work.
I work as a designer and photographer for EMC Insurance and I just got back from a really fun photo shoot with the Urbandale Fire Department. The EMC Reinsurance department brings some brokers to an evening of fire school. They suited up, sprayed fire hoses, tested fire extinguishers and saved rescue mannequins from a “burning” test building.
I built this site at the beginning of the year for a local home inspector. It’s a new business that already had a logo, business cards and flyers so I built out the brand a little more with the website, social media, and a photo shoot with the owner inspecting my house.

Here some some examples of my projects at my new job with EMC Insurance. I have had a variety of work to do like posters, brochures, web graphics and animated videos. I worked on a video shoot for a commercial and made some animated pieces to use for the internal video. So far it's been exciting and I am pretty proud of what I have accomplished and learned so far.
